I would like to congratulate Peter and yourself on the Codriver program.
When I checked this program out and purchased the unit from you I knew it was a great setup BUT I did not realize just how good!
I have tried very hard to find fault with its calculations and have not been able to!
With the odd runs and hours I keep I have trouble! The CoDriver handles it well.
On many occasions I have thought that it was wrong only to find when counting the hours that the unit is better at maths than I.
The fact that we can run the 24 hour graph across the screen I find very helpful as when we run into a section that shows resting 24 hours previous you know that time worked is increasing for the 24 hour period you are working. Very helpful when up near maximum allowed hours it then only takes four clicks on the screen to show the hours worked in the preceding 24 hours and to the minute at that!
Even when wanting to check on hours worked in any set amount of days (in my case the last 14 days or time from last 24/48 hour break) it only takes 6 clicks on the screen and it is there. This is very helpful as I often have a load planer ask when I require a 24/48 hour and it only takes a few seconds to check the hours I have left and the time to have the required rest is already shown on the main screen.
It is great to be able to have this information without having to count through the log book. I did not under stand how much time I used to spend counting through my log book until I started to compare it to the CoDriver program. The other thing I did not realize was how much time I crib in the logbook, although when it is only in 15 minute this is under stand able.(even though it is always in my favor).
This unit and program have saved me so much time and so much stress and with it I have found it so easy to keep track of times and to keep my logbook legal and above board.
The other thing I have found is that it is very helpful in showing others the time worked. This proved very helpful to me on an occasion a few weeks ago when I had one of the chaps that drive the cars with the red and blue lights on the roof stop me for a log book and license check. I was on a trip from Melbourne to Brisbane and actually had driven into Violation by the CoDriver.
Our Laverton depot to Narrandera normally quite easily done in under 5 hours on this occasion a couple of stops to check the load, road works and a wide load had me about 5 minutes over. This had a red line on the 24 hour graph.
It was only a few hours later that this was to impress the officer when after checking a couple of pages of my book the CoDriver was matching the log book and I was able to show him that I was even able to find all time worked right through the entire book along with the violation time that was not needed to be shown in the log book due to it only requiring 15 minute intervals.(Able to show this as well in time worked!)
I think this had him not only impressed but very surprised as he didn’t know anything like this CoDriver program was available.
I told him you had a very good web site although I said very little else and I was only too happy when he drove off. Not even a signature in my book although I was not disappointed with this.
Regards and Thanks Alan Hartney
